To Love a Child Another component of NISWA's social work is foster care and adoption. Foster care is a planned, temporary, alternative living arrangement for children whose parents are unable to care for them at home. NISWA works closely with the Department of Child and Family Services to ensure that Muslim children in need of foster care be placed with Muslim families. Alhamdulillah, NISWA has assisted more than 25 families to obtain foster parenting licenses in the greater Los Angeles Area.
